SNOW DAYS/ CANCELLED CLASSES
When Cortland Performing Arts cancels classes due to inclement weather or other emergency, you will receive an email, it will be posted on our Facebook page & on the studio WEBSITE. There are no refunds for cancelled classes. One ‘extra’ class is scheduled into calendar for Snow/Emergency Days. Any additional days may be made up separately.
MAKE UP CLASSES
Missed classes may be ‘made up’ in a comparable or lower level class. List of appropriate classes is available in the PAI office. There are NO refunds or credits for missed classes.
HEALTH & SAFETY PROTOCOLS
We will follow all New York State and CDC mandates. If needed these procedures will be updated.
Parent/Guardian must accompany each dancer under age of 14 to their first day of attendance.
- Must have signed online copy of Dancer Safety Form
- Must have: Dancer ‘Pick-up’ Form (allowing someone other than
parent to pick up dancers – or permission for dancers 14yrs & up to be dismissed without an adult)
DROP OFF PROCEDURE
- Arrive no earlier than 5min before class start
- Masks are OPTIONAL
- Dancer & Parent/Guardian/Designated Adult should hand sanitize
once arriving in hallway
- Dancer proceeds to empty Dancer Dot outside their assigned
studio. Wait until called to enter studio.
AT STUDIO DOOR
- Teacher/Staff member will dispense hand sanitizer.
- Twinkle Tots may be accompanied by one adult ONLY into studio.
Adults must hand sanitize
- No siblings will be allowed in studio.
DURING CLASS
- Dancer will put bag & water bottle on Dance Dot along wall.
- Dancers 2-4yrs should have one adult wait in hallway
- Classes that use props: Each dancer will have their own individual
box of props. Larger props will be sanitized before & after use.
MASK POLICY as of 7/19/22
• DANCERS: masks are OPTIONAL. This is a parental decision only. If your child comes to dance class in a mask, they will be required to keep it on. Dancers are welcome to keep their mask on at all times – if this is their comfort level.
- PARENTS visiting the office/hallway: masks are optional.
- FACULTY/STAFF: masks are optional. Faculty/Staff are welcome
to keep their mask on at all times – if this is their comfort level.
WHEN MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR EVERYONE:
- On day 6-10 after Covid positive
- If a person is returning from an illness
- If a person is unsure of their exposure
- If a person is unsure of their health status
BATHROOM PROTOCOLS
- Dancers are encouraged to use the bathroom at home or before class.
- Dancers ages 2-3yrs old MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian
- Hallway bathroom outside studio will NOT be open.
DRESSING ROOM
- Dancers are strongly encouraged to come to class dressed.
- Dressing room will be CLOSED for general use.
- Dancer may ask Office Assistant to use room for single use
- Dancer may change in individual bathroom
DEPARTURE/PICK UP
- Hands are sanitized as they leave studio
- Dancers must be picked up i by adult at the designated pick up
station.
- Dancers 14yrs & up w/ Form on file, may leave.
MULTIPLE CLASSES IN A DAY
- Dancers with less than 15min between classes, may be escorted to their next studio to wait on Dancer Dot.
- Dancer with more than 20min between classes, must be picked up by adult and return later – following all protocols.
BETWEEN CLASSES
• There will be 5min between classes staff & assistant may clean & sanitize.
